At Fate Cakes, we offer daily deliveries to The Ohio State University campus, and many addresses (up to 10 miles from our bakery) through DoorDash. Parents and family members from all over the country (and some international) contact us every day to surprise loved ones with a little special gift

DoorDash will deliver your birthday or care packages to any apartment, residential house, and especially their dorm, and corporate addresses.

OSU Delivery General Information

We offer delivery of all our lil’ treats to any location within The Ohio State University campus district – and other areas in Central Ohio. Please check DoorDash’s delivery radius, time scheduling and terms upon checkout.

Dormitory

Delivery to a residence hall is super simple. With 24 hour access to the building, Resident Assistants are at the front desk 24/7 and can accept your child’s package at any time during our standard delivery hours. That also allows the student to retrieve the order at their convenience when they’ve found a break in class and studying.

DoorDash allows for a gift option, where the recipient’s name can be included on each order along with phone number for when the drive arrives and delivers. It should also be noted that some dorms don’t have a front desk and their “sister” buildings accept all mail/packages for students from both locations. These instructions and specific mail room addresses should be included in the shipping address.

Residence / House / Apartment

So, your child’s an upperclassman and finally lives off campus. That’s a reason in itself to send a little dessert, but how are packages received if they no longer live in on campus housing?

Most apartments and town homes within a couple of miles of campus have leasing offices located near or on the property. DoorDash hand deliver to any location you feel comfortable either having a signature upon arrival or it being left on site if no recipient if available – please read or contact DoorDash with specific questions how deliveries are confirmed if no one is available to personally accept the order.

Same Day / Next Day

At Fate Cakes we understand some birthdays and special events can be lost and forgotten during all our busy schedules. Don’t panic, we’re here to help you in any time of need; therefore, we are happy to offer next day delivery on a selection of our desserts. (Note: Because our bakery makes every treat to order, we reserve the right to no longer accept same/ next day deliveries at any time and on any day of the week. Check our DoorDash menu for live and up-to-date inventory/ availability during checkout to confirm if delivery is currently available as soon as the following day. It is also suggested to make a pre-order a few days in advance to guarantee an order).

Seasonal

We’re a bakery opened nearly every day of the year; therefore, we make offer the DoorDash delivery option all over the Columbus, OH area during any weather conditions. In the event that a recipient is not available upon our confirmation request, the items and order will be left at the recipients address – no matter the weather conditions. As long as our desserts are located within a shaded and cool environment (Below 70 degrees), no harm will come. Please Note: leaving anything sweet outside, during any season, the order can be subject to damage from weather, or can attract bugs and animals – we are not liable for any damages conducted after delivery if the package needs to be left outside.

Damages

After leaving Fate Cake’s bakery, we are not liable for any damages which may occur after items have been delivered to a residence or commercial location. We make every effort to protect our lil’ treats from damage but we can not guarantee the safety of our product while in transit or after it’s been delivered. Please contact DoorDash directly at their customer service number for concerns regarding any damages.
